A set of masks for spraying a model of the German Tiger I heavy tank, Pz.Kpfw. VI Ausf. E, in the early production build, in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Pz.Kpfw. VI Ausf. E, known as the Tiger I, was a German heavy tank of the Second World War. The vehicles of the early production batch differ from the later ones in a number of details, among them the build of the commander's cupola and the equipment on the hull. It is precisely these differences that decide whether a model matches a particular period of service.
This is a set of masks for spraying a Tiger I model in the early production build, in 1:35 scale. The masks define the areas that are to stay untouched, so the transitions come out sharp and identical all over the vehicle. The manufacturer's instructions describe exactly what the individual masks cover and in what order the shades are applied.
First spray the base shade and let it cure properly. Apply the masks to a clean and degreased surface and press them down at the edges, so that paint cannot get under them. On the busy surface of a tank, between the clamps and the tools, help yourself with tweezers and a wooden stick. Spray thin coats perpendicular to the surface and take the masks off shortly after the paint has dried, while the coat is still flexible.
The set is for modelers who want their finish precisely bounded and do not want to rely on a free hand or on cutting tape.
The set supplements a kit, which it does not hold. Paints and glue are not in the package, unless stated otherwise.
