A photo-etched detail set for the Fw 190 D-9 in 1:48 scale by Eduard, an accessory for refining a plastic kit, not an airplane model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set is a detail accessory, not an airplane model. It is a photo-etched set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard made to refine a kit of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190 D-9 fighter in 1:48 scale. The photo-etched parts replace or complete the fine elements that injection-molded plastic cannot capture at such a thickness and with such sharpness.
The Fw 190 D-9, nicknamed Dora, was a late development stage of the German Focke-Wulf Fw 190 fighter at the end of the Second World War. Compared with the radial-engine versions it received a lengthened nose with an inverted V12 engine, and it is among the most capable and most popular German fighters of the period.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife on a hard mat, bend them in a bending tool or against a ruler and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Do not coat any color-printed elements included in the set with aggressive thinners. It is practical to tone and clean up the smaller parts while they are still on the fret.
An accessory for the plastic kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
