The Flyhawk multimedia upgrade set for the liner R.M.S. Titanic in 1:400 scale brings brass photo-etched parts, resin and wood together for faithful detailing.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a ship kit but an extensive multimedia detail set. The set is meant for fitting out a model of the ocean liner R.M.S. Titanic in 1:400 scale and combines brass photo-etched parts, resin castings and wooden features. It makes it possible to replace simplified plastic parts with faithful railings, stairways, boat davits, gratings and other details.
R.M.S. Titanic was a British ocean liner of the White Star Line and, at the time of her completion, one of the largest ships in the world. On her maiden voyage in April 1912 she struck an iceberg and sank, which became one of the best known maritime disasters in history. The model is thus among the iconic subjects of ship modelers.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a scalpel and form them with a bending tool; wash the mold release residue off the resin castings and cut off the casting blocks. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Work in sub-assemblies and follow the drawing. Degrease everything before painting and go over it with primer, and leave the wooden features natural or bring them out lightly.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue, paints and other parts are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
