A Studio27 decal set in 1:12 scale. It holds water-slide decals for creating the livery and sponsor markings of the Yamaha YZR500 road racing motorcycle in the Antena 3 colors, as it started in the 500 cc class of the road racing world championship in 2001. It is an accessory to a plastic kit, not the model itself.
The Yamaha YZR500 was a two-stroke works prototype of the premier 500 cc class, the last generation before the change to the four-stroke MotoGP era. These were light and extremely powerful machines with a distinctive exhaust routing; the Antena 3 livery was among the striking color finishes of the closing seasons of the two-strokes.
Cut the motif out, dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and slide it off the backing onto the smooth painted surface of the fairing. To seat it over the curves of the plastic use a decal softener, and finally go over it with clear coat, which protects the decals and evens out the gloss.
This is a decal set. The plastic kit, paints, glue and clear coat are not included in the package.
