Let us make it clear at once: you are buying markings, not a model. The package contains strictly a decal sheet; there are no plastic parts in it. The decals are designed for the Lamborghini Murciélago kit from Aoshima in 1:24 scale, which has to be your own. A kit in the box offers one or two liveries, yet this car raced in various seasons and teams, and a collector wants his particular car from a particular year. That is exactly what a sheet solves.
The Lamborghini Murciélago was the first model of the brand created under the leadership of Audi. In road form it combined a V12 with all-wheel drive and a look that came across more as a weapon than as a car.
The racing R-GT, developed together with Reiter Engineering, kept the naturally aspirated V12 but sacrificed the all-wheel drive, as it drove the rear wheels only and was hundreds of kilograms lighter. In the GT races of the time Lamborghini was far from being as common as Porsche or Ferrari, only a few cars were built and they started with private stables. It is precisely that rarity that makes these machines an interesting subject for modelers.
All-Inkl.com is a German web hosting provider and a long-time motorsport sponsor, as the Münnich Motorsport team starts under this name. In the 2007 season All-Inkl.com Racing entered a pair of Murciélago R-GT cars in the FIA GT championship in cooperation with Reiter Engineering.
Careful, so that you do not buy the wrong year: a sheet with the B-Racing livery, car number 13, from the 2006 season exists as well. It is a different team and a different season, so check which version you want.
Rule number one: a decal is applied to gloss clear coat. A matte surface is rough under a microscope, air is trapped under the decal and the edges start to silver, as an ugly milky frame appears around the marking. So always coat the body with gloss clear coat before the decals.
Sponsor markings of this type are large and they run across the edges, the intakes and the sloping areas of the body. On such shapes decal softener is not a luxury but a necessity, as the decal softens, adheres to the surface and does not wrinkle. And remember that the sheet does not cover the whole body: you have to spray the basic color of the car yourself and it has to match the decals in shade. The final clear coat and polishing then unify the model and give it the wet, glossy look of a racing car.
The package contains decals only. The kit, paints, clear coat and decal softener are not included. If you are looking for the car from 2006, reach for the sheet with the B-Racing livery.
