This is a sheet of water-slide decals from Studio27, 1:24 scale. Let us put it bluntly: this is not a kit and these are not parts of a model, as you get only the markings. You have to obtain the BMW Z4 kit from Fujimi separately, as the sheet is of no use without it. The point of such a sheet is clear: the kit maker includes one or two liveries, but the Z4 GT3 was a customer racing car of dozens of teams. Anyone who wants a car of a particular stable and a particular race buys decals to go with it.
Race number 888 was carried in 2014 by the BMW Z4 GT3 of the British team Triple Eight Racing, hence the triple eight number. At Silverstone in the 2014 season it was driven by the British crew of Lee Mowle, Derek Johnston and Ryan Ratcliffe. Silverstone is a British circuit with great history: in 1950 the very first race of the Formula 1 world championship was run here and its fast, flowing corners still make it a touchstone of aerodynamics. The abbreviation BSS in the name of the sheet refers to the European sprint GT series Blancpain Sprint Series; exactly which event of the Silverstone weekend the car started in is not stated here, as the sources differ.
For the livery to look as if it came from the factory, it needs a glossy base. A decal applied to matte clear coat silvers: air stays under the film and a silver rim appears around the artwork, which can spoil an otherwise perfect model. The body of the Z4 is all curves, so have decal softener ready for the large sponsor areas: thanks to it the film flows around the shape and does not wrinkle. Once it is dry, clear coat follows, which hides the edge of the decal (it must not be felt under a finger), and polishing to a wet look. And because the sheet does not cover the whole body, count on spraying the rest, and the shade has to match the decals.
Watch out for mix-ups: other Z4 GT3 sheets for Fujimi exist as well, the Brazilian team of 2014, ROAL Motorsport from Monza and Team Russia from Silverstone (ELMS). This one is the car with number 888.
The package contains decals only. The kit, paints, gloss and clear coat, softener and glue are not part of the delivery.
