A Studio27 decal sheet in 1:24 scale with the racing livery of the Group A Honda Civic in the colors of the Japanese brand Razo. The strong point of this sheet: it holds markings for two cars, No. 3 and No. 20, so from one purchase you build a pair of sister cars side by side for the display case. We stress it again: this is NOT a kit. You are buying decals only; you have to own the model of the car, as the sheet is made for the kit of the racing Group A Honda Civic (the EF3 generation) from Aoshima.
The late 1980s were the golden era of Group A touring cars in Japan. In it the Honda Civic played the role of a small light front-wheel drive hatchback which stood no chance against bulkier and stronger machines on the straights, yet in the slow sections, under braking and in overall reliability it could make life properly unpleasant for its rivals. It is precisely this uneven battle of the small against the big that makes the Civics of the period a popular modeling subject. Razo is a Japanese brand of car interior accessories (among them shift knobs and pedals) and as a sponsor it is among the prominent names of the Japanese racing scene of that time.
Decals always belong on a glossy surface. Anyone who applies them to matte clear coat will get the silvering effect, as air stays under the film and a gray veil appears around the artwork. The recommended order: the body is sprayed with paint, coated with gloss clear coat, and only then the decals come. On curves and recesses use decal softener, so that the film does not settle taut and make folds. At the end secure everything with clear coat and polish it, after which the model looks like a real race car after a wash. The sheet does not hold paint for the body, that has to be sprayed.
The package contains decals only. The kit, paints, clear coats, glue and softener are not included in the package.
