Studio27 1:24, a decal sheet for the Lamborghini Gallardo in the colors of the British police (for the Fujimi kit). These are decals only, not a kit, so the model of the Gallardo has to be your own.
Responsibility details are not available.
A sheet of water-slide decals from the Japanese maker Studio27 in 1:24 scale, intended for the Lamborghini Gallardo kit from Fujimi. This is not a kit: in the package there is only a decal sheet and instructions for their placement. The model of the car itself, paints, glue and clear coats are not included and have to be bought separately.
A supercar in police colors is one of the most rewarding subjects you can put in a display case, as it is unexpected and immediately catches the eye of everyone who passes. The London Metropolitan Police really did display a Gallardo in police form: the car was lent to it and it carried the characteristic British Battenburg livery, that is large blue and yellow checkerboard blocks along the sides, police markings and a blue light bar on the roof. These were presentation cars, not a patrol car in regular service. For the record: the Italian state police, on the contrary, really did receive a Gallardo from Lamborghini and uses supercars to this day, among other things for the fast transport of organs for transplantation.
The base of a British police livery tends to be white, and white is one of the hardest colors to spray, as it needs a primer and several thin layers, otherwise the plastic shows through. The sheet does not cover the whole body, so the shade of the clear coat under the decals has to match the color of the printed items. Decals are always applied to gloss clear coat; on a matte surface air is caught under the film and the decal starts to silver, which is the most common mistake of all. On the curved areas and edges of the Gallardo use decal softener, so that the film is drawn to the shape. Once it is dry, go over everything with clear coat and polish it if you wish, as the decal disappears under the coat and the body gains a wet gloss.
The package contains decals only. The kit, paints, glue, clear coats and softener are not part of the delivery.
