A set of small injection-molded plastic models of the British carrier aircraft Blackburn Skua in 1:700 scale from Trumpeter. The box contains several small aircraft models intended as an addition to the decks of aircraft carriers. It is not one large model but a set of miniature aircraft with which you bring the deck of your ship to life.
The Blackburn Skua was a British carrier machine that combined the roles of fighter and dive bomber and served with the Fleet Air Arm at the start of the Second World War. It went on record as the aircraft that took part in sinking the German cruiser Königsberg by dive bombing. Its two-seat layout matched the naval practice of the day.
Separate the small parts from the sprue carefully with a sharp knife and glue them with liquid cement for plastic or with cyanoacrylate glue. Given the size, airbrush painting with details picked out by brush works well. The models can be glued straight onto the deck or mounted on stands.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
