This set from the manufacturer Trumpeter contains several small models of the Westland Sea King helicopter in the HAS.3 version in 1:700 scale. It is not one large model but a set of miniature machines with which you complete the decks and hangars of kits of warships and aircraft carriers in the same scale. The parts are injection molded in plastic.
The Westland Sea King is the British license-built version of the American Sikorsky S-61. The HAS.3 variant served with the Royal Navy above all for anti-submarine warfare, search and rescue. It was powered by two Rolls-Royce Gnome turboshaft engines and the machine operated from frigates as well as from the decks of aircraft carriers.
The parts are very small, so work with tweezers, a sharp knife and liquid cement for plastic. We recommend cleaning the mold parting lines up carefully and spraying the parts with an airbrush or a fine brush; apply the paints in thin coats. The rotors and the landing gear are the most delicate parts, so handle them especially carefully.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
