A resin engine fan and turbine for the late German jet fighter He 162A-1/2 Volksjäger in 1:32 scale from the manufacturer Quickboost (Aires). It is not an aircraft model but a detail accessory for a kit — an accurately cast inside of the jet engine (the blades of the intake fan and the turbine) intended for a model with the engine exposed. The set is intended for the He 162 plastic kit from the firm Revell.
The engine mounted on the spine of the He 162 is one of the most characteristic features of the aircraft. If you build the model with the engine exposed or removed, the intake fan and the turbine are clearly visible and they decide the realism. The resin part brings a crisp relief of the blades which injection-molded plastic out of the box cannot manage, and once painted it lifts the impression of a real powerplant markedly.
Wash the part free of mold release agent residues and separate it carefully from the casting block; it is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate), and you should wear respiratory protection while sanding. Paint the blades and the turbine with an airbrush in metallic shades (steel, heat-discolored metal), bring them out with a fine wash and, if you like, with a dry brush to emphasize the edges.
This is a resin detail accessory, not an aircraft model. The He 162 kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
