Friedrichshafen FF-33E in 1:48 scale is a short-run injection-molded kit of the German First World War reconnaissance floatplane from Techmod.
Responsibility details are not available.
The kit captures the German two-seat reconnaissance floatplane (seaplane) of the First World War period in 1:48 scale. It is a short-run injection-molded plastic model completed with photo-etched parts, clear film and printed instruments; the instructions also include a rigging diagram. The model is supplied by the Polish manufacturer Techmod.
The Friedrichshafen FF-33 was a biplane on a pair of floats powered by an inline engine. It served for naval reconnaissance and patrol; the FF-33E version was the unarmed reconnaissance variant. The best-known machines of this type operated from the deck of the German auxiliary cruiser (commerce raider) Wolf, where they carried out reconnaissance and liaison duties on a long voyage.
Short-run molds have finer sprue attachments and gates - clean the parts up carefully and dry-fit them. Glue the etched parts with cyanoacrylate and the plastic parts with a thin modeling cement. Apply a primer before painting and spray the surfaces with an airbrush. Give time to the rigging between the wings and on the floats according to the diagram enclosed - on a biplane it makes the final impression.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
