The set captures the Japanese Type 97 Chi-Ha medium tank of the Second World War in the small 1:100 scale (15 mm), intended for wargaming and for group scenes. It is a resin kit for experienced modelers; the set holds several vehicles for building a whole platoon. The model is supplied by the maker Zebrano.
The Type 97 Chi-Ha was the most widespread Japanese medium tank of the Second World War. It was committed in the Sino-Japanese war, in the fighting at Khalkhin Gol against the Soviet Union and on the Pacific theater. It was marked out by a riveted and welded hull, a diesel engine and a turret with a short 57 mm weapon; the later Shinhoto version was given a new turret with a more powerful 47 mm gun.
First wash the resin parts to remove the residue of the mold release agent, carefully cut off the casting blocks and protect your airways when sanding. It is glued exclusively with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). In 1:100 scale, transitions of color and the accenting of detail come out well; after a base coat with an airbrush, use washes and pigments for mud and dust effects on the running gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
