HEKI Grass Tufts, Summer 5 to 6 mm, 100 pcs

One hundred individual grass tufts from the German maker HEKI, five to six millimeters tall, in a summer shade. The summer tone is more saturated and slightly darker than the spring one, because grass in full season is no longer so translucent. On a model it is the most general-purpose variant: it suits most scenes and can be combined with the other shades in the range without shifting the subject into a particular season.

• growth between siding tracks and on disused ground
• bringing life to an area that looks flat once a mat is laid

How to work with the tufts

The tufts are not self-adhesive; they are fixed with modeling glue, ideally a flock adhesive or PVA glue. Apply a drop of glue to the base and seat the tuft in it with tweezers. Arrange them irregularly and in clusters. Mixing two shades works very well: mostly summer with a few spring or autumn pieces among them, and the area immediately stops looking like a uniform carpet.
