About product

Crushed Glass Stones 1-2 mm (Green Stuff World)

This is not a kit but a decorative material for building dioramas, bases and scenery. The package holds fine translucent fragments of crushed glass roughly 1 to 2 mm in size. The finest grade in the range suits sparkling sand, glittering water surfaces, icy or snow-covered ground and fine crystalline areas on figure bases and fantasy scenery. The small particles cover an area evenly and still keep the shine that is characteristic of glass.

Use

  • sparkling sand and crystalline ground on bases
  • a glittering water surface, ice and hoarfrost on dioramas
  • a fine scatter for the look of crushed ice or minerals
  • glued with thin modeling cement or fixed down with varnish
  • a fine glitter combined with the coarser grades in the range

Who it is for

Diorama builders, figure painters and makers of fantasy and science-fiction scenery looking for the finest translucent material for surfaces and small details will appreciate it. The 1-2 mm grade suits places where coarser fragments would look unnaturally large, for instance on the small bases of smaller figures or with fine water and ice effects in small scales.

This is a decorative material, not a model. Glue, paints and the base are not included in the package.

FAQ

No. It is decorative crushed glass for building dioramas, bases and scenery, not a model.

Fragments of 1-2 mm suit sparkling sand, glittering water, ice, snow and fine crystalline areas where coarser grit would look too large.

Best with thin modeling cement or by spraying varnish over it. The translucent fragments can be tinted with clear paints.
