HEKI decovlies forest floor, 28 by 14 cm is a mat of wild grass in the subdued shades of a forest floor.
Responsibility details are not available.
A grass mat from the German maker HEKI from the decovlies line of a size of twenty-eight by fourteen centimeters. The fibers are applied to a practically invisible carrier mesh and the mat can be torn into irregular pieces with no distinct edge. The forest floor variant is keyed to a subdued green passing into brown, the kind that grows in the shade beneath crowns, where grass never gets enough light to deepen.
On a new base apply glue from a spray can and press the mat down; on an already grassed area the fibers interlock with the base and glue is not needed. On a forest floor do not cover the whole area; a real wood has grass only in islands where light falls between the crowns. Between the islands leave bare soil, foliage flakes and twigs. It is precisely that irregular rhythm that makes a forest scene believable.
For builders of forest dioramas and layouts with dense growth and for modelers who need greenery subdued, not fresh. The subdued shade combines well with the dark green variant of the line and with brown foliage flakes. This is a modeling material, not a toy. The maker marks its landscaping goods as not suitable for children under fifteen years of age.
