HEKI decovlies dark green, 28 by 14 cm is a mat of wild grass in a saturated dark shade.
Responsibility details are not available.
A grass mat from the German maker HEKI from the decovlies line of a size of twenty-eight by fourteen centimeters. The fibers are applied to a practically invisible carrier mesh, the mat is torn into irregular pieces and its edge is lost in a landscape. Dark green is the most saturated shade of the line. On a model it works as shadow: an area with it looks damper, deeper and older than the fresh green around it.
On a new base apply glue from a spray can and press the mat down; on an already grassed area the fibers hold even without glue. Do not use the dark shade over a whole area, for a scene then comes across as heavy and without depth. It works best in a pair with a lighter variant: put the dark one where there is shade or damp, the light one on a sunlit ridge. Leave the transition between them torn, not straight.
For builders of layouts and dioramas who work with light and shadow, and for modelers who want to get depth into a green area. The dark variant is at the same time a good base for thickening that follows with bushes and taller growth. This is a modeling material, not a toy. The maker marks its landscaping goods as not suitable for children under fifteen years of age.
