A set of thirty fence sections in 1:87 scale from HEKI. The manufacturer intends them as pasture fencing, so they serve on a farm as well as along a field road.

A set of small plastic fence sections for H0 gauge, that is 1:87 scale, from the German manufacturer HEKI. According to the manufacturer there are thirty pieces in the package, and they are fencing of the pasture type, not a garden fence or a metal railing. It is not a kit of a single object: the sections are placed around a layout or a diorama wherever the landscape is to look lived in.
They look best when you do not put them in a perfect straight line: a slightly irregular line and a section turned a little here and there takes away the artificial look at once. Sink the bottom edge into the terrain and cover the join with turf or scatter, so that it does not hang in the air. In color they are brought to life by a dark wash run into the wood grain and a drybrush in a light shade on the edges. The top edge then only needs graying slightly, so that it looks weathered.
It suits H0 layout modelers and builders of rural scenes who need a larger number of identical sections at once. Thirty pieces are enough for a decent stretch of fencing as well as for several smaller scenes, so material is left over for extending a layout later on.
The sections are supplied unpainted. Paints, glue and other material are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
