Cork strips in a dark and markedly more flexible version, intended for narrow gauge in H0 and for TT gauge. The box contains six strips of sixty centimeters each, three point six meters in total. Two strips laid together always give a bed with slopes beveled at an angle of forty-five degrees.
Narrow-gauge lines tend to have tighter curves than a main line, because they hugged the terrain instead of overcoming it. It is on a curve that the behavior of the material shows: a stiff strip wrinkles and folds on the outside, which prints through into the profile of the ballast. The more pliable version eases that problem and holds an even shape even at a small radius.
For modelers of narrow-gauge lines and for builders of TT gauge layouts. The manufacturer is a German company specializing in scenery accessories, and production takes place in Germany. At turnouts and loading areas the strips are made up with a cork sheet cut as needed, because the ready-made shape does not suit there. Before you cover the bed with ballast, run the train you count on in ordinary operation over the line; repairing unevenness under glued ballast is extra work.
