A modeling paint from the Heki company in the shade of concrete, intended for painting roadways and paved areas on a layout and on a diorama.
Responsibility details are not available.
Concrete on a model hardly ever looks good in the shade an ordinary gray out of the box has. It is either too cold or too dark, and the area then looks like plastic painted gray. This paint is mixed directly for roads and paved areas, so you do not have to build the shade of concrete up laboriously from several grays.
Most often on roadways, sidewalks, ramps, approaches, retaining walls and the floors of yards. It also serves well for evening out the tone where several construction boards or road sheets lie side by side and their shades differ slightly. It is useful too for retouching the cut edges that stay lighter than the face after boards are divided, and for linking the transition between a roadway and the surrounding terrain.
Stir the jar thoroughly before work, because settled pigment changes the resulting tone. Apply several thin coats rather than one heavy one, otherwise the raised relief of the surface will disappear. Always try the shade out first on an offcut or on a hidden part of the area. Never leave concrete in one even tone: pick the individual slabs or strips out slightly and then bring the area out with a darker glaze in the joints and with a dry brush along the edges. The details on thinning, drying and cleaning your tools are given on the packaging.
The paint is for builders of layouts and dioramas who want the shade of concrete ready-made and consistent across the whole scene. Brushes, the thinner and construction boards are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.
