The set brings printed decals in 1:48 scale for finishing a model of the Supermarine Spitfire fighter in the Mk.Vc version. The package does not hold plastic parts — the sheet is intended as an accessory for a kit, which the modeler obtains separately. Behind the product stands the Turkish brand Tiger Head Models, focused on aircraft decal sheets and resin accessories.
The Mk.V was the first truly mass-committed version of the Spitfire and accompanied the type on most theaters of war. The form marked with the letter c concerns the so-called universal wing, which allowed various armament fits. It was exactly the spread of this version that means we meet it far beyond the borders of Europe — in desert, tropical and overseas settings, where the machines wore different camouflage and national insignia. The sheet follows this geographical variety and offers markings that are markedly less well worn for a modeler than the home British schemes.
With desert and tropical schemes count on more pronounced wear of the surface, so apply the decals before weathering, not after it. The base has to be glossy and dry. Once the decals are dry, fix the whole model with a thin layer of varnish, and only then do washes, filters and dry pigments follow — otherwise the solvent may attack the edges of the carrier film and smear the motif.
This is an accessory for a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
