Photo-etched grilles for models of the Soviet T-64 tank in 1:35 scale. They replace the suggested grille at the rear of the model with a part that has an open pattern.
Responsibility details are not available.
The T-64 is a Soviet tank of the postwar generation, developed in the design bureau in Kharkiv. It has its engine compartment at the rear, and the air to and from the power unit is led through grilles on the engine cover and in the rear of the hull. On a model this is a place on view: a real grille is open and shadow is visible under it, whereas the plastic part tends to be solid and has the texture only engraved in its surface. The rear is moreover viewed from above in a display case, so this difference cannot be hidden.
A photo-etched set in 1:35 scale for the T-64 tank. The parts are on a flat fret and are held on it by thin tabs, which are cut through before building. Lay the parts on dry first and check the application in the manufacturer's instructions.
Cut the fret with a sharp blade against a hard surface, as scissors will buckle the thin metal. Sand the remainders of the tabs down with fine abrasive paper. Make the bends over the edge of a ruler or in a bending tool, so that they are sharp. For gluing use super glue in a small amount; cement for polystyrene will not join these parts. The original grille on the model usually has to be cut out or sanded flat, so that the new part sits down without a gap. Before painting, wash the surface, degrease it and spray it with a base paint. The depth of the grille will then be brought out by a dark shading and a fine dusting.
This is an accessory set for a model. The kit, paints, glue and tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
