A set of boxes in 1:43 scale as an accompaniment to dioramas, display scenes and bases under collector models.
Responsibility details are not available.
A scene with a collector model in 1:43 scale tends to look empty once finished: the car stands in the middle of the board and nothing around it says where it is. Small goods fill that empty space faster than anything else. The boxes can be stacked against a wall, leaned on a post, piled onto a truck bed or strewn across a workshop floor, and the scene gains both a story and depth at once.
They work best in groups of an odd number and at varying heights; a regular row lined up flush looks artificial. Leave several pieces partly hidden by another element, so that the viewer senses the scene continues beyond the edge of the board. The boxes also serve as a guide to scale, because the viewer immediately judges the size of the car beside them from how big they are.
If you are going to paint the surface, work in thin coats and vary the shades slightly between individual pieces; boxes painted identically side by side give away that they come from one set. Then bring out the edges and corners lightly with a dry brush and unify the lower edges with the base in a darker tone, so that the pieces do not hover on the board. Set them in place only on a finished base and glue them down at spots, so that the layout of the scene can still be adjusted.
The set of boxes is supplied on its own. A base, a model car, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
