The OV-10 Bronco is a light observation and attack aircraft with a short fuselage nacelle and a pair of tail booms, powered by two turboprop engines. It came about for reconnaissance over the battlefield, directing fire onto targets and supporting ground units from low altitude. It was helped in that by the good view from its glazed cockpit and by its ability to operate from short, unpaved strips. The OV-10A was the first production version of the type.
Masking templates for painting an OV-10A model in 1:48 scale from the ICM kit. The outlines follow the shapes of the parts of that particular kit, so they may not fit a model from another maker. The arrangement of the individual pieces is shown by the instructions in the package.
Clear the surface of dust and grease before applying them. Apply the masks before spraying and press the edges down carefully, because it is under an edge that has not been bedded down that paint seeps and the line smears. Spray in several thin coats and at right angles to the surface, not at an angle under the edge of a mask. Take the mask off shortly after the paint has dried, while the layer of paint is still flexible. Lift a corner with tweezers or the tip of a blade and pull slowly to the side, not straight up, so that you do not tear the paint off with the mask.
The package contains a masking set. The model, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
