Photo-etched steel seatbelts for the cockpit of the Heinkel He 111 P-1 in 1:32 scale, a set from the Zoom range for Revell kits.
Responsibility details are not available.
The He 111 has a glazed nose as well as a glazed pilot's station, so a large part of the interior is on view and the cockpit fittings stay exposed once the model is finished. Seatbelts molded onto the seat look flat; separate belts, by contrast, hold their shape, can be draped over the backrest and left lying loose, which brings the whole space to life at once.
The set brings photo-etched steel seatbelts for a model of the He 111 P-1 in 1:32 scale and belongs to the Zoom range. In shape it is prepared for Revell kits. Which parts the set carries and where they belong in the cockpit is given by the enclosed instructions.
Separate the individual parts with a sharp blade on a hard surface and sand down the tab that is left with a fine file. Make the bends with tweezers or over the edge of a ruler; steel keeps its shape, so a belt can be left to hang naturally. They are joined with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) applied on a pinhead, because ordinary polystyrene cement has no effect here. Degrease the parts before painting, go over them with a primer and then bring out the buckles with a dry brush or a fine tip.
The set is intended for modelers building the Heinkel in a large scale who want a convincing cockpit even when seen through the glazing. It calls for tweezers, a sharp blade and a little patience with small parts. In the package are the photo-etched parts alone; the kit, paints and glue are not supplied with them, unless stated otherwise.
