The real subject

The MiG-21 is one of the most widespread supersonic fighters of its day: a slim fuselage, a delta wing and a circular air intake with a movable cone on the axis of the nose. The letter R in the designation refers to the reconnaissance version, which carried reconnaissance equipment in a pod slung under the fuselage instead of part of the armament. The cockpit remained single-seat, and what builders value most about it is the busy instrument panel and the side consoles.

How to work the set into the build

The additions are fitted during the build, not afterwards on a finished model. So try the assembly dry first and only then glue it; the plastic of the kit usually needs slight work at the seating, because an add-on part is more accurate in size than the opening it is meant to drop into. Work with small parts using tweezers and put them down in a dish so that they do not get lost. The way they are fixed and the choice of glue is described by the manufacturer's instructions.
