Responsibility details are not available.
A set of unpainted figures of the Prussian Landwehr of the Napoleonic Wars in 28 millimeter size, that is, in the usual size for tabletop wargames. The package contains forty figures in a marching pose. The figures in this range are in hard polystyrene plastic on sprues, so they are glued with ordinary modeling cement and paint holds on them without special preparation. That is a difference from the smaller scales from the same maker.
The Landwehr was raised in Prussia in 1813 as an answer to the defeat by Napoleon, when the regular army was not allowed to exceed a permitted strength. These were units raised from called-up civilians, equipped simply and without uniformity: a plain coat, a cap with a cross and whatever could be found. Even so they played a significant part in the campaigns against Napoleon, and their lack of uniformity is an advantage for the modeler, because the painting does not have to follow a single regulation.
Wash the figures in lukewarm soapy water to get rid of any residue from the mold. Separate them from the sprue with nippers at a distance and trim the rest with a knife. Apply a primer and only then paint. Work from the dark tones to the light ones and finally bring out the edges with a dry brush. With a large group of figures it pays to paint in batches, one color at a time.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
