Responsibility details are not available.
A set of unpainted figures of Pictish warriors in 1:72 scale. The package contains twenty-four pieces. The figures in this range are in soft plastic, that is, in a material on which ordinary polystyrene cement and paint do not hold without preparation. That is not a flaw but a property of the material to allow for. The preparation is simple and the result is then lasting.
The Picts inhabited the territory of today's northern Scotland and the Romans never subdued them for good. It was against their raids that Hadrian's Wall was built. They fought without armor or with only light protection, with spears, short swords and small shields, and relied on their knowledge of the terrain and on speed. They are also famous for the body decoration which, according to ancient sources, gave them their name, although what it looked like is not reliably documented.
First wash the figures in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry out completely. Then apply a primer intended for soft plastics, or the paint will crack and flake off once dry. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue), not with polystyrene cement. Go over the finished figures with a varnish that seals the surface and increases resistance to rubbing during play.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
