Responsibility details are not available.
A set of unpainted German motorcycles with riders in 1:72 scale. It adds to a column or a diorama the equipment that handled communication and reconnaissance on the battlefield and that ordinary infantry sets lack. The parts in this range are in soft plastic, on which ordinary polystyrene cement and paint do not hold without preparation. That is not a flaw but a property of the material, and it is enough to allow for it beforehand.
At the beginning of the war the motorcycle was the basic means of the dispatch rider and the reconnaissance patrol. The German army used large numbers of them and motorcycle units made up the leading patrols of the fast formations. As the mud of the Eastern Front mounted up, though, the motorcycle lost its point and its role was taken over by cross-country cars and armored half-tracks. That is why motorcycles appear most often in scenes from the early part of the war.
First wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry out completely. Apply a primer intended for soft plastics. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the motorcycle separately and seat the rider on it only at the end, or you will not be able to reach the frame and the saddle. Mud splashes on the underside of the machine turn a static figure into a scene in motion.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
