Responsibility details are not available.
A set of unpainted figures of Saxon line infantry of the 1806 campaign in 1:72 scale. These are not the early medieval Saxons but the army of the Kingdom of Saxony in the Napoleonic age, which in 1806 stood alongside Prussia and shortly afterwards went over to the French side. The figures in this range are in soft plastic, on which ordinary polystyrene cement and paint do not hold without preparation.
The Saxon regiments fought at Jena in 1806 on the Prussian side, but after the defeat Saxony made peace with Napoleon, became a kingdom and its soldiers then marched on eastwards with the French army. Saxon infantry wore white coats with colored facings, which set them apart from the blue-clad Prussians, so they are easy to recognize on the table and on a diorama.
First wash the figures in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry out completely. Then apply a primer intended for soft plastics, or the paint will crack once dry. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Do not build the white coat out of pure white: start with a light gray and use white only on the highest points, or the figure will lose all its shadow.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
