1:72 Italian WWI Heavy Weapons (32 figures) is a set of thirty-two unpainted figures of Italian First World War heavy weapons.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of thirty-two unpainted figures with the crews of Italian army heavy weapons of the First World War in 1:72 scale. It adds to the line infantry the fire support without which a trench scene makes no sense: machine gun nests and weapon crews are what holds the line in the field. The figures are in soft plastic, on which ordinary polystyrene cement and paint do not hold without preparation.
The fighting on the Italian Front took place in mountain terrain, where every position had to be taken uphill and where heavy weapons were brought into place with enormous difficulty. A well-placed machine gun position, able to stop the attack of a whole battalion, mattered all the more for that. The Italian army went through a rapid development of its weapons during the war and its heavy weapons differed markedly from year to year.
First wash the figures in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry out completely. Then apply a primer intended for soft plastics. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the weapons separately in a dark metallic shade and add the crews to them only at the end, so that they can be set in the right position.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
