Responsibility details are not available.
A set of unpainted figures of French artillery of the period around 1805 in 1:72 scale, with guns and crews. Artillery is the arm without which a Napoleonic force makes no sense, because it was concentrated fire that opened the way for the infantry in that age. The figures and parts are in soft plastic, on which ordinary polystyrene cement and paint do not hold without preparation.
Napoleon was an artilleryman by original profession, and the standing of this arm in his army matched that. French artillery was concentrated into large batteries that fired at one stretch of the enemy line until a gap opened in it. The crews were trained for rapid fire and for moving on the march, and the guns were lighter and more mobile than those of most of their opponents.
First wash the figures in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry out completely. Then apply a primer intended for soft plastics. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the gun carriages separately and set the crews to them only at the end. The wood of the carriage and the metal gun barrel should be in clearly different shades, or the gun will merge into a single surface.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
