A set of unpainted figures of Austrian grenadiers of the Seven Years' War in 1:32 scale. The grenadiers were the elite of the infantry and were recognized by their tall cap, which on a figure is the main feature setting them apart from the line musketeers. The large scale gives a figure room for painting work. The figures are in soft plastic, on which ordinary polystyrene cement and paint do not hold without preparation.
In the eighteenth century grenadier companies were made up of the tallest and most experienced soldiers of a regiment and were used where resistance had to be broken. They were often detached from their parent regiments and combined into separate grenadier battalions, which the command used as a reserve. The tall cap was meant to make the soldier look larger and at the same time did not get in the way when throwing a grenade over the shoulder.
First wash the figures in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry out completely. Then apply a primer intended for soft plastics. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Build the white coat up from a light gray and leave pure white for the highest points. Give the cap special care, as it is the most conspicuous part of the figure.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
