Responsibility details are not available.
A set of eighteen unpainted figures of Confederate infantry of the American Civil War in 1:32 scale, in a marching pose. This is the first of two marching sets, which complement each other, so from both together you can put a longer column. The figures are in soft plastic, on which ordinary polystyrene cement and paint do not hold without preparation. That is not a flaw but a property of the material.
Confederate infantry suffered from the start from a shortage of everything: cloth, boots and rations. A gray uniform was laid down, but in practice the troops dressed in whatever was available and a uniform appearance was the exception. Boots were routinely taken from fallen opponents. That is exactly why it does not pay to paint all these figures the same; a varied and worn force is historically more accurate.
First wash the figures in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry out completely. Then apply a primer intended for soft plastics. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Vary the gray uniform between the figures from a blue-gray to a brown-gray. Dust and mud on the boots and the bottom of the trousers turn a marching figure into a scene.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
