The package holds three spare tips for detailing brushes of the same brand, with which it is not the whole brush that is thrown away but only the worn point. The hair is synthetic, so it will take water-thinnable paints as well as solvent enamels. Size 3/0 is a fine size and suits details of medium size and edge highlighting.
Unscrew the front part of the handle, take the spring and the old tip out, put the new one in and tighten the front part back on together with the spring. Do not forget the spring; without it the tip will not seat in the holder and will slide inward during a stroke. Before its first use, moisten the new tip lightly and bring the point together between your fingers.
Pick the paint up on the point only, never as far as the root of the hair. Paint that runs inside stiffens the hair at the root and the point splays for good; that is precisely what shortens the life of a tip most. After work clean the tip with the matching thinner, rinse it and let it dry lying flat.
The package holds the tips only. Neither a brush handle nor paints are included, and because the tips are sold in threes, it pays to keep one package in reserve before the last piece is used up.
