This collector's kit captures the American M5 High Speed Tractor, a tracked artillery tractor, in 1:100 scale. It is a resin casting intended for experienced modelers who will appreciate a small but detailed model for the display case or for a small battlefield. The model is supplied as a set of resin parts.
The M5 High Speed Tractor was an American fully tracked artillery prime mover of the Second World War. It served to move heavy guns, anti-aircraft guns, their crews and their ammunition quickly. Its design drew on the running gear of light tracked vehicles and it offered an enclosed cab with a cargo area for the crew. The vehicle was used during the war and in the years that followed with a number of armies.
First wash the parts to remove mold release residue and carefully cut off the casting blocks and gates. Bond the resin with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and sand with respiratory protection. Given the small scale we recommend spraying with an airbrush; after the base color come washes and pigments for mud and dust effects on the running gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
