S005 Blue - (Gloss) Spray

Mr.Color Spray – gloss blue (Gunze / Mr.Hobby), 40 ml

A gloss lacquer spray (aerosol) by the Japanese brand Gunze Mr.Hobby with a volume of 40 ml in a saturated blue. It is a lacquer ready for immediate application that needs neither an airbrush nor a compressor – an excellent choice for modelers without a gun and for covering larger areas and laying base coats fast. Blue covers better than yellow or red, but over a dark surface it loses its brightness and turns gray – a light base helps it come through in full saturation.

Use

• Shake for 1 to 2 minutes before spraying (there is a mixing ball inside), otherwise the paint sprays thin and unevenly.
• Lay down thin coats from a distance of about 20 to 30 cm; a heavy coat runs and forms orange peel.
• For full brightness choose a light base – over a dark one blue turns gray. A light base deepens the saturation.
• Spray in warm, dry conditions – in cold and damp a milky haze appears on the lacquer.
• Lacquer attacks plastic – be careful on thin parts and clear canopies, test on a hidden area first.

Who it is for

For car bodies, aircraft, naval subjects and blue markings. A gloss surface is ideal under decals – the markings settle without silvering. A light surfacer as a base, further shades of the sprays and a clear coat for the final protection make good companions.

Lacquer vapors – use only in a well-ventilated space and with a respirator. The aerosol is flammable, keep it away from flame and heat. A spray meters worse than an airbrush, it is not suited to fine detail, to areas it is.
