A simplified snap-fit kit of the German Pz.Kpfw.IV in the Ausf.D version medium tank in 1:100 scale from Zvezda, from the Art of Tactic line. The model is made up of a few parts that fit together without glue and that keep the characteristic silhouette of an early Panzer IV with its short gun. The box usually contains a base with a flag and a unit card for the Art of Tactic tabletop game. It suits wargamers as well as collectors of equipment in the small scale.
The Panzer IV was the only German tank built throughout the whole of the Second World War. The Ausf.D version of 1939 carried a short 75 mm gun intended mainly for fire support and against fortifications. Compared with the first versions it had thicker armor and a machine gun against infantry. The Panzer IV gradually became the backbone of the German armored forces.
You will build the model in a moment and without glue, and you can strengthen the joints with a drop of cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply a light base coat and the basic shade, typically dark gray on this early version. Bring out the edges with a dry brush; a dark wash in the recesses and dust pigments on the running gear will give even a small model a three-dimensional look.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
