A small plastic kit of the Soviet T-72B main battle tank in 1:100 scale from Zvezda. It is a snap-fit model for tabletop wargames; the parts fit together and you can put the basic model together even without glue. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted; for the exact contents of the box follow the enclosed instructions.
The T-72B is a modernized variant of the widespread Soviet T-72 main battle tank. It carries a 125 mm smoothbore gun able to launch guided anti-tank missiles as well, and a combination of armor with reactive armor protects it against hits. The B version from the end of the 1980s brought stronger protection of the turret and an improved fire control system. The T-72 in its various forms is still among the most widespread tanks in the world.
You can strengthen the snap-fit joints with a drop of thin plastic cement. Because of the small scale, deburr the parts carefully and sand down the mold seam lines. Spray the base coat over a primer in Soviet or Russian green or in a three-color camouflage; on such a small area an airbrush or a careful brush will both do. A dark wash will bring out the blocks of reactive armor and the detail, and dust pigments on the running gear will add weathering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
