Injection-molded plastic kit of the Honda CB750F motorcycle in the modified Custom Tuned configuration, in 1:12 scale from Tamiya. The model faithfully captures the air-cooled inline four with finely rendered cooling fins, a multi-part frame, the tank fairing and a series of separate parts such as the handlebars, the mirrors and the suspension with a metal coil spring. The precision typical of Tamiya makes the build a rewarding project.
From its introduction the Honda CB750F became a symbol of the popularity of powerful 750 cc road motorcycles. It won people over with its flowing lines and with the performance of its air-cooled inline four, whose engineering drew on experience from endurance racing. Many owners modified the machine further, and it is exactly such a tuned configuration, with additions to the drivetrain and the exhaust system, that the model captures.
Assemble and paint the engine and the frame first, and only then fit the visible surfaces. Leave the chromed parts and the polished metal free of glue on the mating surfaces so that they do not go dull. Paint the tank and the fenders with an airbrush over a primer coat and seal them with a gloss clear varnish; bring the chain, the brakes and the wiring to life with separate shades.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
