A miniature resin prop from the Idea Series of the South Korean brand Tori Factory in 1:12 scale. It is not a real airplane kit, but a decorative accessory for a scene: an imitation of an airplane model kit that you stand next to a figure, as if the figure were assembling it at that moment. The parts are cast in colored resin as in a real kit, and a miniature box with the artwork of the packaging fills out the scene from a modeling bench as well.
In 1:12 scale the Idea Series shrinks the objects of a modeling bench, kits, tools and games, into props that fill out the setting around a collector's figure. The Plane Kit 1 represents a typical boxed airplane model as it would lie on the work surface of a miniature modeler.
Wash the mold release agent off the small parts and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The colored resin gives the basic look even without painting; a wash into the recesses and a fine dry brush will add realism. Handle miniature parts carefully.
The prop is supplied unassembled. The figure, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
