Responsibility details are not available.
This kit from the manufacturer Trumpeter in 1:144 scale captures the German Type VII-C submarine of the Second World War. It is an injection-molded plastic model supplemented with photo-etched sheet for fine elements such as the railings of the deck and the conning tower. The package usually allows the full hull to be built for display on a stand. The exact contents are stated in the instructions.
The Type VII-C was the most numerously built German submarine of the Second World War and became the backbone of the submarine war in the Atlantic. It was an agile, relatively small and reliable boat with diesel-electric propulsion, driven on the surface by diesels and below the surface by electric motors with batteries. On the deck in front of the tower it carried a gun and on the platform behind the tower anti-aircraft armament.
Glue the joints of the two hull halves carefully, fill them and sand them down, because on a smooth hull the seams are clearly visible. Glue the photo-etched railings with cyanoacrylate glue. Gray shades of the hull and the tower are typical; weathering and traces of the sea are brought out by washes, rust and fine pigments. A stand or keel blocks suit the display.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
