Even in the small 1:144 scale the kit captures the characteristic angular shapes with a low radar signature and the pair of canted fins; take the exact contents of the package from the enclosed instructions.
The F-22A Raptor is an American twin-engined fifth-generation fighter intended for air superiority. It combines stealth design, powerful engines with thrust vectoring and advanced avionics, thanks to which it can fly at supersonic speed without using the afterburner. It carries its armament in internal weapons bays to keep its radar signature low. It is among the very best fighters in service and a hard opponent to pick up.
In 1:144 scale the parts are tiny, so trim the flash off them carefully with a sharp knife. Mask the cockpit glazing before spraying. For the low-visibility gray scheme, shades applied with an airbrush over a primer work well; distinguish the angular panels gently and pick out the lines with a very thin wash so that it does not look coarse. A matte overcoat ties the surface together into a realistic look.
