An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet ground-attack fighter-bomber Su-22 (the export version of the Su-17) in the small 1:144 scale from Academy. It is a complete model of the whole aircraft with a variable-geometry wing. The small scale makes it a rewarding quick project and a handsome display miniature.
The Sukhoi Su-17 and its export version Su-22 were among the key Soviet ground-attack and strike aircraft of the Cold War era. The variable-geometry wing combined a short take-off and good handling with high speed. The machine served in a number of countries and carried a wide range of bombs and rockets in the ground support role.
In a small scale take care over clean joints and fine filling, because every detail shows. Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic and work up the cockpit before closing the fuselage. A covering airbrush coat applied in thin layers helps to keep the fineness of the scale; apply a gloss coat under the decals.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
