Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit from the Revell brand captures in the large 1:16 scale the cult BMW Isetta 250 - the small single-cylinder runabout that became a symbol of the German postwar economic miracle. This anniversary edition comes from a proven mold and is intended to be glued and painted. Once finished, the model is around 15 cm long and offers a detailed body and interior and the characteristic full-width front wall that hinges open, with the steering wheel that swings out together with the door.
The Isetta was a microcar of Italian origin built under license, which BMW reworked and produced in large numbers from the middle of the 1950s. It was powered by a small single-cylinder engine, and thanks to its unusual entry through a single front door it earned the nickname Knutschkugel (cuddle ball). It was an accessible answer to individual mobility at a time when few people could afford an ordinary automobile, and to this day it is among the best-loved classic cars.
Bond the parts with thin modeling cement for plastic. For the smooth body it pays to spray the surface with a filler primer and to lay the color down with an airbrush or a quality spray can; paint the small chrome and interior features in with a brush. Given the large scale, careful cleaning up of the parting seams and a polished gloss coat will stand out.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
