A figure of an American paratrooper of the Second World War in 1:16 scale, in a standby pose.
Responsibility details are not available.
The subject is an American paratrooper of the Second World War. The 1:16 scale is among the large ones: an adult figure comes out at roughly eleven centimeters in it, so the cut of the uniform, the buckles, the straps and the expression of the face are all visible. That is an opportunity and an obligation at the same time, because in a large scale every imprecise stroke of the brush shows. The figure is in a resting pose, that is the moment before boarding and not in combat action, which suits a scene by a vehicle or by an aircraft.
First wash the parts in lukewarm water with a drop of dish soap and let them dry, so that the paint holds. Cut off the excess material and the marks of manufacture with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder. The number of parts and the way they go together are given in the manufacturer's instructions. Paint from the bottom up and in thin coats; on the face and the hands start with the base tone and only then add shadows into the folds and highlights on the raised places. Lay out the uniform in advance, so that the straps and the equipment stay legible and do not merge with the fabric.
The paints, the brushes, the glue, a plinth and the model you will stand the figure next to are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
