About product

Wehrmacht tan DAK Zeltbahns 1:16, ETA diorama

The accessory brings a reproduction of the camouflage fabric of the so-called Zeltbahns of the German Wehrmacht in the tan shade of the Afrika Korps (DAK) in 1:16 scale. The Zeltbahn was a triangular multi-purpose sheet serving both as a rain cape and as part of a tent. This is quality digital printing of the camouflage pattern on paper, which serves as a scenic material.

What it is for

You cut the printed sheets out and shape them into the form of a rain cape, a cover or a pitched tent shelter, or use them as a tarpaulin thrown over equipment in the scene.

Usage tips

  • Dampen the paper and shape it into natural folds; once dry it holds the shape.
  • For firmer drapery, back it with a thin textile or with aluminum foil.
  • A matte clear coat will even the surface out and protect the printing.
  • Bring the folds out with a fine wash and a dry brush.

Who it is for

  • Builders of dioramas on the theme of North Africa and the Afrika Korps.
  • Large-scale 1:16 modelers looking for realistic drapery.
  • Collectors of German figures and vehicles of the Second World War.

The accessory is a printed material and is supplied for further work. Glue, paints and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
