Responsibility details are not available.
A set of plastic kits of PLA Navy warships in 1:2000 scale from the manufacturer Meng. It is not a single model but a set intended for building several ships, so the result is a whole group of vessels on one consistent scale. The numbering Set 1 and Set 2 distinguishes two separate boxes with different contents; check the exact list of types on the box.
The 1:2000 scale is a specialty of what is known as fleet modeling. Models in it come out very small, on the order of centimeters for long vessels, and that is their main advantage: a whole formation fits into a display case, not just one ship. The subject of this set is modern PLA Navy vessels, that is, surface ships of contemporary design. At this scale the details are rendered in a simplified way and the main role is played by the silhouette, the proportions and the overall arrangement of the group.
Work on a light surface and over a shallow box, because small parts are easily lost. Use tweezers and thin cement applied with a tip, not straight from the tube. It is practical to paint the hulls while still on the fret and to touch them up only after cutting them off. Thin the paint more than usual, as a thick coat would cover the engraving at the final size. Keep panel highlighting and weathering to a minimum, because at this size a light lightening of the decks is enough. You can suggest the water with a dark gloss board or with acrylic gel, and a group of ships on a shared base looks best.
The models are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
