1:24 GERMAN INDUSTRIAL TRACTOR D8511 MOD. 1936 is a plastic kit of a German industrial tractor in 1:24 scale from the MiniArt brand.
Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit of the German industrial tractor type D8511 in the 1936 version, in 1:24 scale, from the Ukrainian brand MiniArt. It belongs to the family of large tractor models that the brand runs alongside its better-known range in 1:35 scale. The box holds clear parts and a decal sheet for several color options.
The D8511 type comes from the family of German tractors known as the Bulldog, which were built and used across Europe for decades. Their hallmark was a large-displacement single-cylinder two-stroke engine with a hot-bulb head mounted horizontally in front of the driver. The engine was warmed up before starting and then turned over by the flywheel, for which the removed steering wheel served. The machine could burn even very poor fuels, which made it an exceptionally practical helper in times of shortage. The industrial version differs from the agricultural one among other things in being shod with solid rubber tires, which let it move over the paved surfaces of factories, railroad yards and warehouses.
The model has a richly detailed drivetrain and frame, so assemble and paint it in subassemblies and close them only at the end. The single-color body of an industrial machine looks livelier when you animate it: a dark wash into the pressings, fine edge chipping in a steel shade, dust pigments on the wheels and the underside. Leave the solid rubber tires matte and, by contrast, polish the metal parts lightly. The tractor is a rewarding base for a small diorama.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
