A decal sheet in 1:24 scale with German tail markings of the Second World War period. It is applied the wet way like an ordinary decal.
Responsibility details are not available.
The sheet carries the German tail markings in the form of the swastika as they were used on aircraft in the Second World War, in sizes for 1:24 scale. A historically correct tail marking is a conspicuous element on German machines of that period, and leaving it out shows on a finished model at first glance, because the vertical tail surface stays empty.
Kits often do not hold these markings at all, or print them split into individual arms that have to be put together directly on the model. That is work in which the spacing easily goes astray and the marking ends up crooked. A separate sheet simplifies this part of the build and at the same time serves as a replacement when the decal from the kit is damaged or has yellowed with age.
Coat the base with a gloss varnish, so that no air is left under the decal and the edges do not silver. Cut the individual marking out close to the artwork, soak it in lukewarm water and let it come free of the paper. Once it is moved into place, soak the surplus water up, adjust how it settles with a setting solution and, once dry, coat the surface according to the final sheen of the model.
The sheet will be used by modelers of the large scales who build German aircraft and want the markings complete and from one print. The model, paints, varnish and setting solution are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
